Enjoy fishing in the Pacific Ocean on the luxurious twin hulled Akaroa Dolphin and also experience the spectacular scenery of Banks Peninsula.

For a serious fishing group, mates out for a day, corporate function, team building, social day out or dive trip, we cater for all in the comfort of our stylish, well-appointed vessel.

Cruise in comfort
On board is a full size toilet, shower and fully-equipped galley. Walk-around decks and flybridge with seating ensure relaxed cruising and fishing. Akaroa Dolphin is fast and stable so there is more time for fishing.

What’s supplied
All fishing gear and bait is supplied. Complimentary BBQ on board along with tea/coffee and biscuits.

What you may catch
Fish species are Blue Cod, Red Cod, Trumpeter, Wrass, Sea Perch, Barracudda, Monk Fish and, if we are lucky, a King Fish.

To conserve fishing stocks, some species (ie sharks) are catch and release. Size limits and onboard quota will be explained along with safety briefing before departure.

We fish in different locations every trip to ensure a variety of scenery and fish.

All fish are cleaned and filleted as required and put in foam containers so on arrival home it is still fresh.

Departures daily
Depart Akaroa main wharf 7am in summer or 9am in winter.

For your safety
Akaroa Dolphin is under full safety management and is MSA registered with Maritime New Zealand. Please note that for safety reasons, children under the age of 12 years cannot be carried.

Private charter
You may charter Akaroa Dolphin for private groups and full catering is available.
